College-Ready:

Girls Self Defense Camp

Because Sending Her To College Shouldn't Mean Sending Her Into Danger

As your daughter prepares to embark on her college journey, your heart swells with pride—and perhaps a touch of worry. The transition to college life brings newfound independence, but it also introduces risks that many young women are unprepared to face.

Statistics show that females age 16-19 are four times more likely than the general population to be victims of sexual assault. Women age 18-24 are the most likely to experience domestic abuse, and over half of rape victims are under the age of 20. (RAINN)

But there's hope! Research also shows that women who participate in self-defense training are less likely to experience sexual assault and are more confident in their ability to effectively resist assault (PubMed). That's why we developed this course specifically to prepare young women at the time they need it most.

College-Ready is a transformative 2-day Self Defense Camp that equips college-age women with the skills, awareness, and confidence to navigate life safely as a young woman.

2. Situational Awareness: Stay One Step Ahead

Most threats can be avoided if you see them coming.

Your daughter will learn how to sharpen her instincts and stay present in her environment—on campus, at parties, in dorms, and while traveling. We teach her how to read the room, identify exits, trust her gut, and use her survival senses in a way that detects threats and makes her a harder target.

3. Recognizing Danger Signals: Understand the Patterns That Precede Violence

Violence is almost never random—it follows a pattern.

Your daughter will learn the common tactics predators use to test boundaries and target victims, from manipulative charm to lures and isolation. By recognizing red flags early—like someone ignoring “no,” pushing your boundaries, or creating dependency—she’ll know when a situation is escalating and how to trust her get and escape before it turns dangerous.

4. Physical Self-Defense: Fight Back With Skill, Not Fear

What to do when there’s no other option but to fight back.

Your daughter will learn simple, effective self-defense techniques to escape dangerous situations quickly. This isn't sport—it's real-world techniques from Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing that work for women against larger, stronger attackers. She’ll learn how to:

  • Break free from grabs, chokes, and pins

  • Control the distance and use her voice

  • Strike hard and create space to escape

  • Defend herself on the ground—where most assaults end up

This hands-on training will help her develop not just skill, but belief—the belief that if she ever has to protect herself, she can and will.

5. Confident Presentation: Walk With Purpose– Deter Criminals

Confidence is a visible strength that predators avoid.

Studies show that women who carry themselves with confidence—walking tall, making eye contact, and exuding self-assurance—are less likely to be targeted by predators. Why? Predators look for easy targets, and someone who looks aware and in control is harder to approach. Your daughter will learn:

  • How to walk with purpose, head high, shoulders back, and eyes forward

  • How to use her voice to set clear, firm boundaries

  • How to say NO, and what to do when it's not respected

These lessons go beyond self-defense—they’re about creating a lasting internal strength that shines through in every interaction, ensuring she commands respect wherever she goes.

The Alarming Truth– Here’s Why Self-Defense Can’t Wait

As exciting as college is, it's also a time of increased vulnerability. The transition to independence, new environments, and social pressures can create high-risk situations. These five powerful statistics underscore the urgent need to prepare young women before they step on campus.

Half of All Rape Victims Are Under the Age of 20

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 50% of female rape victims are assaulted before they turn 20. College-aged women are in one of the most at-risk groups for sexual violence.

1 in 5 Women Experience Sexual Assault in College

A national study by the Association of American Universities found that nearly 20% of undergraduate women reported experiencing sexual assault through physical force or incapacitation.

Most Domestic Violence Victims Are Young Women

According to the CDC, women ages 18–24 experience the highest rates of intimate partner violence. And more chilling: half of women who are murdered in the US are killed by an intimate partner. The relationships she builds in college shape her entire future.

Most Women Freeze in a Crisis—Unless They’ve Trained

Trauma experts agree: freezing is the most common reaction during an assault, especially when the brain hasn’t been trained to respond. But when young women learn how to act under pressure, they’re significantly more likely to resist effectively. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), in cases where victims fought back or made noise, they were far more likely to escape, and the chance of the attacker being caught increased by 95%.

Self-Defense Training Reduces the Risk of Sexual Assault by Nearly 50%

A major Canadian study known as EAAA (Enhanced Assess, Acknowledge, Act) found that women who completed a 12-hour self-defense program were 46% less likely to experience completed rape and 63% less likely to experience attempted rape.

Predators Are Attracted To Vulnerability

Research in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence shows predators look for body language that signals weakness: lack of eye contact, hunched posture, or distracted walking. Every collage girl should know how to fail the 'victim interview' by presenting herself with purpose, power, and presence.

"My daughter came back much more confident. She felt that she could say no and fight back. Now my daughters have the mindset that they can and they will protect themselves!"
