What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a ground fighting sport widely known as the most effective martial art for real life self defense. It teaches students how to use leverage, balance, and an understanding of the human body to control bigger opponents. Girls learn how to control, escape, and transition from various ground positions. Girls also learn how to defend the most dangerous ground attacks like being pinned in the mount or guard and defending strikes and chokes.
